The song “Ban Chale Ram Raghurai” from Sant Tulsidas (1939) is a personal favorite. It describes the scene where Shri Ram is leaving for the forest with his wife and brother. The agony of Shri Ram’s parents and the people of Ayodhya is beautifully described in simple words with soothing music. Vishnupant ji’s singing style is very pleasing to the ears. We could not find accurate lyrics of this song online. After multiple hearings of the original and Hariharan ji’s recital of this song, we think we have finally managed to get all the words.
